Super Jumbo

The Airbus A380 is simply the largest passenger airline built till date. The full length two level aircraft can carry upto a whopping 853 passengers in a full economy configuration. Finally after two years of delays airbus has finally started delivering these planes to airlines. No American airline has made an order so far. In an attempt to generate some interest Airbus is going around the US on a "celebratory tour". Here's a video from popularmechanics.

The amazing behemoth of a plane has a wingspan as large as a football field. Notice how the wings flex when the plane touches down!

Now the scary part is what happens if something goes wrong aboard one of these? endangering almost a thousand lives at the same time. What about terrorist threats?
