As per newspaper reports banking transactions are likely to be affected
in the period 26th March to 31st March(5 days) due to 3 days strike of
bankmen and two days holidays. Even ATM operations could get halted as
cash filling after heavy withdrawals may not be feasible since private
banks rely on SBI /RBI etc for bulk cash dealing support.This is to
suggest to all that you draw your cash needs before 25th with the
assumption that cash can not be drawn in the period as stated above.It
is a safe course to adopt.

This only hilights how much we have come to depend on these systems. Imagine, someone missed the announcement about the strike, and is caught unawares on that day with a dire need for cash.. scary. Time to dig a hole under my bed and stow some cash :)
